As springtime arrives in Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center resumes its Tuesday noon Lunch & A Look at the Garden series of Park-related topics:

 

Jewels in Flight,” Betty Lamore, describing the habits and characteristics of the hummingbirds which are such unique residents at Garden of the Gods.  This free half-hour presentation is held in the Red Rocks Room at 12 o’clock noon, followed by lunch (at participants’ own expense) and continued camaraderie in our café.

 

"Photo Locales You Have Never Seen", Paul deBerjeois, reputed Garden of the Gods photographer, shares some spectacular examples of Park photos and locales to capture them, with his presentation entitled “Hiding in Plain Sight, The Best Photo Locales You Have Never Seen!”

 

“Two Twenty-Something Girls Talking about Glen Eyrie”, Susan Fletcher, historian at Glen Eyrie, delves in another insight of General Palmer’s family life with excerpts from the diary of Dorothy Comyns Carr.

 

"Wildlife at the Garden", Bret Tennis, Park program coordinator, displays the extensive wildlife diversity of the Park with slides and discussion of popular species which reside at our beautiful Garden of the Gods Park.

 

All presentations are free of charge.  Lunch at participants’ own expense.
