Rich Buzzeli
Rich Buzzelli, a well-known photographer, was raised in the Colorado Rockies and developed an early appreciation for nature's beauty. This appreciation inspired Rich to become an artist by painting landscapes during his teen years. After graduating from the College of Forestry and Natural Resources at Colorado State University, Rich worked as a park ranger in Colorado and California. It was during this time that his passion turned from painting to photography. With the help of his artistic eye, Rich continued to sharpen his self-taught photographic skills and eventually became a professional landscape photographer. The use of large format cameras combined with his love of venturing into remote areas brings a certain quality and uniqueness to his work. Rich traveled extensively to capture extraordinary images that convey his love for pristine landscapes. On July 9, 1995, Rich was struck by lightning on Pikes Peak doing what he loved most, photographing the beauty of the mountains. Being a naturalist and conservationist, his wishes were that his images would help others gain a deeper appreciation of sense of caring for the natural world.
